Ferebee, Sr. was an extraordinary loyal, devoted member of the North Carolina Wesleyan Community. His gift to endow the operations of the Dunn Center for the Performing Arts underscores his wisdom for the future of the College, for its role in the City of Rocky Mount, and for the part of Dunn Center will continue to play in the life of the College community and for Rocky Mount citizens who play such an extraordinary role in securing and founding the College. Personally, John provided excellent counsel and advice to a relatively young president for which I will ever be grateful. John is a tall tree among the pines, and he will always be stalwart in the history of the College.
